The G3 Zed 9 '23 Black is a high-performance touring binding that strikes an ideal balance of a lightweight build, easy-to-use feature set, and uncompromised downhill performance and safety. The binding has a wide freeride mount that transfers power to the ski and provides pull-out resistance. The wide center support of the turret and a metal wrap-around base transfer power and precision to the ski. The heel turret can be turned in either direction for touring, and the simple, minimal boot stop provides effective step-in guidance. The Zed 9 has optimal toe elasticity for maximum energy absorption and minimized prerelease, and an 8.5 mm range of forward pressure in the heel to maintain consistent release. The binding also features anti-snowpacking features built into the toe and brake designs that keep snow away and make for a confidence-inspiring step-in.
